Public transport works well near the city, but a part-time job, late shifts or a campus across town can make a car or scooter worth it. With QuickVan you rent by the week and stop when you no longer need it, for example over the semester break.
Prices for students
| Vehicle | From | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter 110cc / 125cc | $110/week | Getting around the inner city, food delivery (motorcycle licence needed) |

Rent a car for 8 weeks or more and the first 2 weeks are half price, from $80/week. Kilometres are unlimited and the bond is $500.
Licence rules for students
- We accept overseas licences with at least 12 months of driving experience. Learner and provisional licences are not accepted.
- If your licence is not in English, bring an International Driving Permit or an official English translation.
- Queensland lets temporary visa holders, including students, drive on a valid overseas licence.
- Scooters need a motorcycle licence.
Splitting the cost
Only the people on the rental agreement may drive. If you share the car with a flatmate, add them as a driver when you book so they are covered.
